So, the month of August has been hell on my bank account. My impulse buying reared its ugly head worse than it’s ever had before, and because of that, I’m implementing a ban.
For the month of September, I am hereby banning myself from buying anymore books.
My TBR pile is getting too damned high, and I’ll never lower it if I keep adding to it. So, I’m going to be using the next month as a learning experience. Learn how to budget, learn how to not buy everything I want, learn how to save, and some other things.
I have a package of books being delivered next month at some point, but I ordered those this month, and the only reason it’s being delivered so late is because it includes another pre-order. I hadn’t planned it that way, but what can ya do? I also have a Book of the Month box coming soon, and I’m looking forward to it because it’s my first (and last) one.
Besides those two exceptions, no more buying books for September. I almost used that logic to justify buying another book on Amazon today, but seeing as August is almost over, I’ve decided that I’ll start the ban early, and see if I can make it 33 days instead of 30.
Luckily for this blog there are always tags and reviews and other bookish things to talk about, so cheers to that.
Let’s do this.
Wish me luck.
